My journey in podiatry has always been guided by one simple belief: when your feet feel better, your entire life moves better.
About Dr. Barnes
My name is Dr. Barnes, and I’ve dedicated more than 30 years to caring for people’s feet.
I was born at Martin Army Hospital in Fort Benning. My father is a retired Command Sergeant Major who served two tours in Vietnam. Growing up in a military family taught me discipline, commitment, and the importance of serving others.
I graduated from Hanau American High School in Germany, then returned to the United States to pursue my medical education at New York College of Podiatric Medicine. After completing my degree, I went on to finish a surgical residency, where I gained firsthand experience treating a wide range of foot conditions.
Over the decades, I’ve learned something simple but powerful: Small adjustments to footwear make a big difference.
Many foot problems don’t begin in the operating room — they begin in the shoes we wear every day. Proper arch support, shock absorption, and post-work recovery footwear can dramatically improve comfort and reduce strain.

Why Georgia Foot Care went one step further
After years of recommending over-the-counter insoles in my practice, I decided to take it one step further.
I partnered with a manufacturer in Thailand and worked directly with their design team to refine and adjust an existing product. I made small but important modifications based on what I’ve seen that my patients truly need — practical support for long hours on hard surfaces.
